Chapter fifteen: Is it an End or a 
beginning?

      Zidane ran over to the airship as fast as he could. he pulled out 
his weapon ready to fight. " He is not going to make it!" Dagger 
screamed.
     Dagger jumped down off the ship, everyone else following her. Then 
the monster stepped on Zidane causing the lifeless girl and the weapon 
to fall out of his hands. everyone rushed over to help Zidane not even 
noticing Shelley on the ground.
      Their attempts failed to try and get zidane out and every time 
they 
helped the monster would squeeze Zidane closer to the ground. Shelley 
finally had the strength to get up, She picked up the weapon off the 
ground. She then rushed to help the others.
     " Wait everyone i've got an idea!" She exclaimed. " Just give me a 
boost up to the top of the monster and i will handle the rest!" Freya 
and Beatrix knelt down with their knees together and pushed shelley up.
     The monster's head was the size of her whole body. " What?!!!" The 
monster said shockingly. Shelley kicked the monster in the eye and cut 
all four of the jewels off that were hanging from a thread.
     The monster covered it's eyes and fell off of Zidane. Shelley 
jumped 
off of the monster's shoulder and landed in a bunch of bushes.  The 
monster then shrunk down into nothing, leaving only the ruins of a old 
fortress.
      Shelley managed to get out of the bushes to help Zidane. Everyone 
huddled over him, checking to see if he was ok. " Well, Guess i should 
be leaving." Shelley said. Everyone looked over at her.
     " What, i thought you were going to stay longer." Dagger said. " I 
know Zidane is all right and the monster is defeated, there is nothing 
else that i need to do." Shelley pointed out. " It would be meaningless 
to stay, What me interfere with Zidane and his New girl friend,"
      " Zidane, was a great friend but...It would be silly to stay with 
him, Even if he did make a promise with me." She said as she dropped 
the 
weapon and held the Jewels in her hand. " Dagger, i know you don't like 
me... there is no reason we should be rivals so i want you to have the 
Jewels."
     She said as she put them into Dagger's hands. " I would rather 
prefer we just be friends," Dagger nodded her head as if she understand 
but she didn't understand. "Why did she suddenly just give up all 
together on Zidane?
     Vivi came over to her, he looked up at her face. " Where will you 
go?" " Out where ever the road takes me, i'm going to look for that 
someone i've been looking for, even if i have to go around the world 
and 
back!" She answered. She then knelt down at vivi looking into his 
eyes. " Vivi, i want you to have this," She pulled out silver watch 
with 
a black mage on the cover.
     " Vivi, My father was a black mage too... He passed away many many 
years ago along with my mother, and since you are a black mage i want 
you to have it," She opened it for him and he heard a tinkling little 
melody. He looked inside of it and saw a photo of Zidane in it.
     He then looked on the back and saw a message in cursive writing. " 
You will always be in my heart  forever and always."  Vivi looked up 
back into Shelley's eyes and gave her a hug. " Well, i best be on my 
way," She said as she stood up and faced the sky.
      " Well i hope i see you on the road again," she waved at them 
then 
disappeared into the distance.two hours had passed and Zidane opened 
his 
eyes and managed to sit up. " Are you ok Zidane?" Dagger asked. " Uh 
huh, i think so ...what happened?"
     " It is a long story, we'll tell you on the way home." Freya said. 
As they took the airship back to the castle and Zidane went into his 
room in the castle. there sat a small burlap bag tied up with Blue 
ribbon.
      He looked at the card. " Dear Zidane, i'm sorry i almost forgot 
your birthday i was so mixed up with that Scorceress and broken 
promises 
that i almost forgot! Well i managed to rummage up a little something 
for your birthday, don't worry next years present will be better I 
promise!  Your Friend, Shelley." He then opened the burlap bag and saw 
a 
picture frame with a picture inside of it. It was of him and Shelley 
when they were young and they were putting up bunny ears to each other.
      He set aside the picture onto the desk along with other photo's 
of 
his friends.
