Make sure to read the hidden ending article for this FFX-2 coverage, It'll help you make a lot of sense as to why a sequel is being made in the first place. The story takes place two years after FFX. The fall of Yevon has given rise to machina that are now abundant in the world of Spira. In FFX-2, Yuna sports a great new outfit which allows her to go freely around Spira without being mobbed by fans all over. Along with her are two side kicks named Rikku and Pain. The trio are part of a group called Kamome that is searching for spheres/treasure chests all across Spira. Other members in the group are Aniki (who is Rikku's brother) and Dachi (Aniki's childhood friend).
The Kamome group ride the airship Celcius in search for the spheres. In the airship, you meet other characters such as a young genious Al Bhed boy named Shinra, and a blue alien-like create (You can see his image in the rumours section of this coverage). However, Kamome is not the only group that is searching for the spheres. There is a rival group aswell called the Le Blanc Clan. Headed by Le Blanc and her two henchment Sono and Uno, they try to stop Yuna from getting all the spheres. Damn them. Besides that, there are sure to be cameos from Kimahri, Wakka, Lulu and maybe even their baby.
