There are many rumours that come about when a game creates as much hype as FFX-2 did. Here are a few of which I've heard. Many of which have to deal with the plot.

Rumour #1
1.There is no sign of O'aka or Rin in the game. The two were merchants who sold items and weapons in FFX. However, sources say that the driver of the shoopuff might be the new merchant as you can see in the images below. Yep, its the blue dude with the nasal voice. His name is Master in the game.

Edit: It has been proven that O'aka can join your ship if you complete a quest in Macalania woods.

Rumour #2
Cid was Rikku's father in FFX. Till now there are no signs of Cid being in the game. It is being said that he will give off his duties to his son named Brother. And so will no longer be controlling an airship in FFX-2.
