Running styles......

So whose running style do you like best? :P

I haven't really played any other FFs besides 7, 8, and 9. But I know the selection will be largely based on the quality of the graphics.

But I must say that I cracked up when I saw Squall run for the first time. Ok, it wasn't exactly funny, but maybe I'm too used to... smaller figures. It was funny on the world map too. Squall is so tall. The buildings are so short. And he's running! I don't know why I find it funny. I just do. I'm too used to FF7 and FF9, I guess.

Anyway... I'd pick Zidane or Eiko. For some reason, Eiko appears to me to run faster than Ziddy does. I dunno. And Dags runs with her hands stuck out ather sides... too lady-like, for me, I think. :P

So what's your choice?

I like Zidane's running style the best.

Squall looked so much bigger than the buildings in Final Fantasy VIII.

Dagger, I didn't like her running style. It looked awkward (sp). o_O

*LOL* Hehehe, don't worry Blissy, I find everything funny most of the time, too. Dagger always looks like she's expecting to trip over something. The funny thing is, I sometimes walk like that. o_O

... but that's usually because I AM tripping everywhere. Heehee.

I, too, pick the Running of the Ziddykinsies! ^_^ "RUN, ZIDDY, RUN!!!" And like you, it probably is because of the smoothness of the graphics. Sometimes I just make him run in circles. :laugh: And I like his tail. I love his swishy tail! Makes me wanna run after him, pounce him, and... offer him Skittles.

(I'm still trying to figure out where this Skittles obsession came from. o_O )

I also like Tidus' run in FF10. Again, it looks the most natural. I like making him stagger. Heh-heh-heh.

As for Eiko and Vivi, I think both of their walk cycles are really CUTE! ^_^ Eiko has those long arms and her walk is so spunky. And Vivi kinda just half waddles, half-walks. The other walk I found rather intiguing is Regent Cid's! HOPPAGE! ^_^

I'm just too used to Zidane's running, I guess, so I'll go for him. Dagger's running... is just to hilarious. I remember my sis imitating her running... it was SO hilarious.

Cloud's was funnie. On the world map, he doesn't run, he jogs. His running is okay inside places. But on the world map... I have no comment.

Like Bliss, I've only played FF7,8 and 9. 9's the only one I've completed, so far, though.

Eiko runs CUTE. Yeah, I like it.

I like Zidane's running style too ^_^ . I also like Garnets. Steiners is just well noisey lol... Oh And Zells Running style...I dunno what it is about it but I find it funny lol.. But my favorite is Zidanes ^_^

definetly ziddy's running style is the bst,its just so normal and closest to real life,squall looekd hilarious on the world maps especialy when you were in balamb and ya thought holy shit this is big,than to leave it and have squall the same size!its bloody outrageous,steiner and dagger run really stupidly though,and cid in ff7 ahd a cool run cause i could just imagine his face runni around with the ciggie out the side of his mouth an all:D

in FF10-2, that is. in FF10, she's like... dammit.

The most realistic running style I think it Tidus. Have you seen Yuna running in that dress? It's like cut up to the knees only and how can she run like that!?

You know what's really interesting? Zidane in the field running. I mean wow look at that single step he can cross like 30 miles per step! It's really funny to see objects of different sizes runnign around on the map, especially when Zidane himself is half as big as Oeilvert itself!

Note that Dagger runs faster on the field then Zidane. So she must be the fastest sprinter in all of Gaia. Wowee! ^_^

World-map wise, Cloudy was my favourite. I just seemed to cover ground faster with him, than with Squall or Zidane.

Field-wise, I like Squally's run, and the FFVIII style in general. Having three characters instead of one was much more fun.

In FFIX I prefered Dagger & Eikos' to Zidane's. To me he was a little clumsy.

It gets real bogus when you get characters in FFVIII to suddenly fuse with other characters. When you got two people following you, it's wierd, but there's this point where maybe Rinoa runs right through Irvine. That's hilarious. A game in the prototype stage in perfect character follow-the-leader kinda thing without people having to run into and through each other . :laugh:

Yeah, and if for example you make Squall run in circles, the person behind him does exactly the same!!!! On the world map, when Squally is running towards Balamb Station, I thought he was going to hit his head on the arch or something. Same with FFVII. Cloud looked like he was going to run into a pillar.

Has anyone ever noticed that Tifa goes up stairs faster than Cloud does? I noticed that while going up the stairs in Shinra HQs. I was all obsessed with getting him to beat Tifa that my knuckles hurt, and Cloud only caught up when she stopped for a break. Even so Tifa was well ahead when it shifted to the next screen..... ^_^

Heh, I never noticed that. Cloud must really tired from carrying that huge sword around with him (alright, the joke failed...you can throw tomatoes).

Anyway, I really like Steiner's run. Why, you ask? Because of the clanking sound of his rusty armor. It's so comedic to run around with him and hear that. Aside from that, Vivi has a very direct run, and of course the occasional trip is also to see in a cut-scene.

I like Zidanes as well but I watch it all the time so I pretty much like the other ones

I like Cid's running-style in FFVII. It's just so hilarious! :laugh: First time I got to control him, I expected just another completely normal running-style, but then he leans backwards when running, which looked really stupid, but funny!

I also liked Steiner's running. Alot of people find it annoying, but I just thought was funny... :laugh:
