I usually saw Zidane as a cat...well one he's as quick as a one, as bright as a one, and.....as cute as a cat ^^ (that's for the ladies)

I always thought of Zidane as a monkey, rather than any other kind of creature. If you remember correctly, on the airship out of Dali, he uses his tail to hang from something! :D

It's the kind of thing a monkey can do...Cats don't have prehensile(sp?) tails, as far as I know. ^_^ Plus, monkeys are the animal closest to humans... And Ziddy's cute enough to be THE human! XD

If I ever saw Ziddy with whiskers I'd faint. o_O

:s :s :P Ziddy-kins is a monkey. I don't call him "monkeyboy" for nothing, y'know. No cat I know can hang from its tail. Er, not on purpose, anyway. Hehehehe.

But Ziddy is his own creature. And I like him, tail and all! That long, lovely, fluffy, beautiful, and downright pullable tail! Yeah, bay-bee!! ^_^

Zidane was sleek like a cat, but had more simian qualities. Back on disc one, where they're on the cargo ship, Steiner tries to grab Zidane while they're standing in the control room. Zidane uses his tail to grab hold of an overhanging pole, and clings on with his tail, just like a monkey. Aside from that, he is mischevious like a monkey, agile like a monkey, and has many more qualities of those primates we know and love.

I see Zidane as a monkey. He uses his tail to hang on things and sorta acts like a monkey to me. But in another way, he sorta reminded me of a cat cause he was a theif and all.

Anyway, yeah, of course Zidane's a monkey ^_^ I mean, he doesn't exactly act like a real monkey or anything, other than the one point where he swung from his tail to torment Steiner, heheheh. I don't see very many cat-like characteristics about him.

When FF9 had first come out and pictures were circulating, my two friends that love catboys thought he was one.. and were very disappointed that he lacked cat ears! ^^;; But.. no.. he's definately not a catboy..

Always a monkey. I don't see cats hanging with their tails. Since that part on the cargo ship, I've always related Zidane to a Monkey, sneeky, sly, and witty, like all the monkeys I know.

Zidane is a monkey. He has a monkey tail. He did use it to hang on the ceiling on the ship when Steiner was yelling at him. I really don't see him as a cat at all.

Monkey. His personality isn't cat-like enough for him to be a cat. Cats are much more independent than monkeys. Considering that Zidane likes to associate himself with people and has a lot of friends, I put him more in the monkey personality. Another thing, his thinking is way to non-feline. And the obvious fact that his tail is a monkey tail.

Zidane and Garnet are fighting a monster and Garnet gets hurt badly

"Zidane help!" she cried and Zidane starts to glow and then his hair spikes up

"That does it! You hurt Garnet!" he claps his hands together "Khama-ha! "

Shoots a ki attack at the monster knocking it through a cliff and the battle is over ^^

Sorry I just had to do that. I heard one time someone asking me if Zidane was Dragon Ball because she hadn't played the game but had seen the show. I had to say no he was a genome.
