View Full Version : An FFR Style thing...
We've had enough of these in our time, even I've written one... a rather long one, at that. I was sitting here, and I thought to myself...
What if we made a radio drama? We all take roles and such, and we all do voices and stuff. I mix it down with music, for a great comedy show. Split the story into hour long segments or something like that.
Who'd do it? Who'd write? Who'd do voices?
In short, who is up for this?

I'll raise a hand. Now I'm doing a lot more recordings and stuff (which I need to talk to several people about), I'm in the mood for something new. I can write some good comedy material, and have a clear voice. You know you want me to adopt a gay role for this.
So yeah, I'm game.

Yeah, it sounds like fun. I'm not a particularly good writer, but I'll do a voice if you want.
Umm....yeah.

I'd voice it, definately.
Perhaps it could revolve around current UFF affairs...Though apart from that I'm a little lacking in the writing department.

I can't voice, asmuch as I'd love to - the absence of a microphone really is a bugger. Why don't you ask Adam/Xenostar to write a bit? I know they're busy with finishing FFR2 and FFR3, but they might help a wee bit.
As soon as I find enough free time to write something, I will.

I just may be interested in doing a voice.

I'd be more than happy to do voices. I'm getting my new microphone in 3 Days so It should be in time. Its great Idea from a great person yet again.

I would love to supply my voice to this...although I fear I will be dead too quickly :P
I'm not very good writing however so run away from me as far as that goes :P

The idea and everything sounds awesome. Although I don't know how I'd contribute. I found out that my digital camera has a microphone in it, so if I can work out how to get the sound into a sound file I should be alright if I wanted to contribute voicing. But yeah the idea sounds really good.

I think it’s wonderful!
It’s a great way to get people participating.
1st question: Would the shows be only FF/Games related?
2nd question: Would there be shows that are unique and that people don't play themselves?
3rd: How would you qualify if you weren't playing yourself? Would there be auditions?
Also: I’m not sure about hour long shows. But I guess it depends on the production.
I would be quite happy to help in anyway- except I can’t write humor.

I'm up for this. I wouldn't be able to send you recordings until.....say last week of Feb (due to my slow connection), but I'm happy to help with the writing if you need it.

Hopefully the shows are more frequent than my updates.
Well, it'd be write a story, and cut it into x number of hour segments. Release these until the "series" is done. If popular, make a sequel.
I want it to be a funny, spoof piece on FF. I'd rather not have FF characters in it, as the idea of us lot voicing FF characters doesn't play too well in my mind.

Sounds fun. I'd want to be in it.

I can write for it if you need it. I really need to get my arse into gear and stop being so lazy. I do like to write, and I haven't written much in ages.
I think the last fictional piece I've written was UFF9-0210...and that was...well quite some time ago. Most of my time last year was delegated to writing boring analytical crap. The only creative writing I did in that time was for criteria’s intents and purposes. Hardly grounds to let a person’s creativity flourish.

I'll throw in my hand to this little play like radio thing.
It'll also let everyone hear my non Native American sounding voice...

Wait, is one person writing it, or are we all writing our own parts?
I really want to record, and I don't mind writing it, but if I don't have the time, I'd want to be an editor or something :P
So, if we want a starting point, where are we gonna start? What type of underlying story do you want this to have? Any idea? I'll write a starter, see, and others can continue.

Hmm...
I'm, not actually sure where to start, or I would. I think something in the near future *your Industrial Espionage era, maybe a bit before* would work nicely, or maybe the present. The story could be something closely related to the site - or something completely different.

Maybe it would be easier if it's not based on this site at the moment- as I think that it is harder to do due to the fact that you have to write diologue for people that you might not know very well.
Also: It alows the voice talents to not play themselves, but get to try being other people.
So I opt for the completly diffrent Idea. However, I think future/Espionage what ever sounds cool.
I think what ever happens though- It should be kept simple as its the first attempt at a radio show.

Agreed - but most people who want in are either writing this thing or voicing their own parts once we have a script. I think XD
