*lol* I'm embarassed now, Dags, I can't even speak Tagalog myself!! :s :s  Heehee... teach me!! ^_^

Well, as I've said before when this topic came up, I speak geek. Er... as in, I speak computer languages. Dammit, they are languages! They've got syntax, vocabulary... and they're frappin' impossible to understand!

But as for human languages, I speak Kurohimeish. Some of you guys are really getting good at it! Heehee... Yayachaaanian, and Kuujiee-Gee-ian...! And I also speak Akirossian... but I won't get into that. ;) I also speak coo-ish, which is characterized by the spontaneous "-kins"-ing and "iee"-ing of various names. Mwahaha.

Ziddypoosieekins hates that, yes he does. *pats Ziddy* ;)

As far as other languages, I speak some Japanese, although I understand it better than I can speak it, which doesn't say much. I'd at least be able to ask where the bathroom is and what certain things are in Japan, as well as shout "BLACK PRINCESS" if I felt so suddenly inclined.

I speak guinea piggian, too. Although I still get "I'm hungry" mixed up with "I'm bored!" ^_^

...tsugi! :D

*Feels embarrassed* I don't know that much...I wish I knew more...our schools don't really focus on language education...

I know:

English: very fluently
Latin: Sorta fluently, but...Latin isn't really that kind of language anyway...I could probably get by if I needed to speak it..
French: A bit, still learning ^_^

Pathetic, no?-_-

Lessee here, I can speak..

English
Spanish....to a certain point. Slow spanish, not fast spanish.
and....I used to read a little Chinese....very little, but can't speak it for the life of me.

And slang, but that isn't considered a language, now is it? :)

I feel a bit sheepish, am I the only person that speaks one language?

Even though my father's Burmese he was never around much and when he was, he never bothered to teach me anything.

And I guess you can tell that the only language I speak is english.

I know a few tidbits of other languages like the hello's and goodbyes and a few other words, but that doesn't really count.

I speak that too ;) A very loud & squeakish language.

You're not alone Wolfaura, I only really speak English. I know basic German, I could survive there, but I'm no expert at it. I know a few words of French, but no more than the average person does.

My Japanese vocabulary currently consists of yaoi, yuri, bishounen, Kurohime (^_^), Shiro, and the lyrics to Melodies of Life and Suteki da ne. Wow :P Oh and the lyrics to Pure Heart and Gaia.

you too!? o_O
WIERD MAN!!
wait 'till xat hears about this!!

um... y'know...
most of our words came from different
countries. like:

Pancit ( pan-seet) it means 'noodles'.
Pancit is a chinese word.

and words like ate / kuya...
chinese too.
( I think :P but I'm 100% sure it's not OURS. )

here, we use them all the time when adressing
to someone who's older.

like Kuro / BtG, my big sistahs here.
if I were to speak tagalog right now and say 'Hi' to them,
I'd say, "Hi ate ****!" <-- their names are a mistery!!

Oh well, let's say "Hi ate Kuro / BtG!"
it's a sign of respect 'cuz their older.

if I were to talk to an older guy right now in tagalog,
I'd use 'Kuya' ... example?

"Hi kuya George!"

http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~ff9/ikonboard/files/lol.gif

sounds funny. :P

I usually get in trouble here at home
'cuz I don't call my big sis 'Ate' :P

phew!?
just felt like teaching a few things today ^__^

EDIT: whoo-hooooooooooo!!
250th post! thankies ILFF!! http://dynamic3.gamespy.com/~ff9/ikonboard/files/bluebiggrin.gif

I can finally get rid of this avatar!

Well I can fluently speak two languages, but I know a little, or enough to get by in two others:

English (fluent)
Spanish (also fluent)
a little German
and a little Japanese

The last two are languages that basically I have studied on my own, and picked up from friend who take the classes, while Spanish I was taught...no me gusta espanol...

Just for flavor too, I can speak E-bonics...
*get up off my grill, gee*

I can speak over 1000 languages! ^__^

No, I can't. I can only speak...

English.
And I can't even speak that properly. o_O

But I'm learning Japanese. ^__^ So I know a little bit of that.

And I know a little bit of Maori. All numbers up to 99 and Hello and Family. Pretty much all I know off the top of my head. (Tahi, rua, toru, wha, rima, onu, whitu, waru, iwa, tekau). The problem with numbers is that I can always remember them, but I have to count up to them to remember which is which. o_O
Except a few, maybe.

And I kow the first 3 numbers in Spanish!
Uno, dos, tres.
Impressive, huh?

Yikes. I can only speak English, but at least I'm not alone! ^^;; I tried my hand at Spanish, but that was a bad year for me to try learning anything that different.

I can't assume i know any Japanese, just the tiny little one words that any beginning anime fan would know. -_- Though I do a good job of faking...

*Sings the Card Captor Sakura theme*

My school doesn't offer so many languages.... French, Spanish, Latin, and German.

I know I should at least try to get the minimum years for a language down... Maybe have another try at Spanish. But geez... I just can't pronounce anything right! >.< I sound like a dork in my own language, so that's kind of a bad sign to begin with, tee-hee!!!

Yep, I'm one of those uncultured pigs, yep-yep. :P

Yes..who can underestimate the power of Kuujuee-Gee-ian. *grins*

Anyway, as for my languages...English is my first, but I toko two years of spanish, and am self taught in Tolkien Elvish and Forgotten Realms drow..:D Yeah, yeah, I have no life.

Plus, I know many MANY curses in japanese, and..eh...I am also fluent in Katese and Dryn, both of my made up languages, the former being an assortment of odd noises, and the latter the language for the fantasy novel I'm working on.
