Stuff you liked during childhood

I know I'm awfully guilty of that. I tend to keep a lot of my old things, and especially with movies and television, I tend to enjoy them more now than I did at 5. So many titles instantly come to mind. Unico, Disney Movies, Little Nemo in Slumberland (PLEASE tell me I'm not the only person here that knows that?), The Last Unicorn, Watership Down (um.. yeah. I watched rabbit gore as a child), old school Disney Channel... I still have recordings of the late 80's-early 90's Disney channel on VHS tapes.. they are epic.

And, er, My Little Ponies. I have to say that's more of a sentimentality thing now, though. I like MLP Tales and the Movie, but the TV series... there are only a couple episodes that I can stand.

ReBoot was my favorite show of all time. I don't know if anyone remembers it, but it was amazing.

Other than that, I still watch Disney movies today.

Oh yeah, and Dragonball Z was freaking awesome back then. The early stuff still is.

I liked Transformers back then. Then TMNT came along.

Now that I'm old, with the Transformers live action movie and TMNT movie coming up, I think part of my childhood died a little inside.

But then it gets worse.

When I was around 7, I came home every day and watched shows like BeetleBorgs and Power Rangers. >_> It was pretty bad. Up until when I was like 12 I watched DBZ, too.

I had a whole bunch of transformer toys, which I still have today. I don't think it's possible to transform them anywhere nearly as quickly as they do in the commercials.

I did watch quite a lot of TV when I was a child, I admit - but I adored it all. Usually the cute, fluffy things (like Bagpuss) would keep me amused for hours. They still do, though just not as much. Now it's just the retro effect and the nostalgia which make me smile.

Can't forget them though. The classics are almost certainly the best things, at least they are in my opinion.

ReBoot, TMNT, Transformers, Digimon, Pokémon, Power Rangers... so many good memories. But I do find myself enjoying kid's programs more now than i did back then. Pocoyo, Curious George, the old Disney Films - I love them more than I should at my age. XD

Pocoyo is quite possibly the best kids TV show ever :p

I don't really remember watching that many TV shows when I was little, but I remember liking all the Disney films. Aladdin, Jungle Book, Hercules and the like. The only TV show I remember watching when I was young was Bottom, which is odd since I have no idea how I would've understood any of the jokes!

But yeah, Pocoyo is ace now, as is the Rik Mayall and Matt Lucas one to do with King Arthur. And I watch that Raven too sometimes =/

Oh man, I forgot all about that. <_< I used to watch that every single saturday. I'd actually be up early on saturday just to watch it.

Reboot was why I learned to stay up all night in the 4th grade to see it early in the morning since by that time, all the cartoon channels had begun to reject it thu it was banished to god awful time slots on random channels, before Toonami brought it back.

Disney movies I still watch randomly, if I feel in need of a good song, It's always Lion King, Aladdin or something animated.

Little Nemo in Slumberland is probably one of the most ignored things ever since it is damn old and the more popular alternative was Where Waldo during the times they released it in the 90s still in book form. I never played the games about it so, meh. Thus Little Nemo was forgotten...and still some don't even know what it is. I'm an animation student, I have to know what it is.

I, too, have late recordings of late 80s early 90s Disney stuff, very good stuff at that, along with a billion videos of those symphoney cartoons, crazy stuff but classic.

Beetleborgs I liked for a while, but it got gay after I aged a little bit. Power Rangers was also a thing of legend...well, first season stuff anyways, then it got stupid.

TMNT was a must for a long time, then came the other Saturday morning cartoons in the states in the mid 90s, X-men, Spiderman, Street Fighter, Transformers, Mortal Kombat, all of it mainly on either USA or Fox Channels.

Along with Sonic the Hedgehog on that weird learning channel which was cool for a long time.

Then there were alot of animes at the time I watched since I lived on Guam and you couldn't go to any video store without seeing some form of it.

For the first 8 years of my life I lived with out cable. I loved Pok&#233;mon (I still enjoy the game-boy games) DBZ has always kicked some serious ass. In seventh grade I loved power rangers. Now; Transformers, Futuerama, family Guy, DBZ, Naruto, One Piece, etc. You get it right?

YAY! *tackles* I lost my VHS tape of it, but I bought another one a few years ago. I still love that movie, and I watch it every couple months or so. It makes me happy ^_^ Problem is, most people think I'm talking about Finding Nemo... argh.

I was a barbie girl XD
I had any and all barbie dolls, furniture, houses, cars, friends, clothes, accessories, even the damn pool. And then the basement flooded - down to two barbies after that.
I was also a Care Bears kid, I loved Popples, Gummi Bears, and Fraggle Rock.

I have the original Little Mermaid in the plastic VHS case, we're talking... vintage. My mom has one also still in the plastic - I'm sure I could get a decent amount for it on eBay...

I LOVED The Disney Channel when it was family-friendly and not all franchised.. was really big into old nickelodeon, grew up with the simpsons and power rangers XD (the original, mang).


I'm not into any of that anymore, with the exception of fraggle rock, and I just bought The Little Mermaid on DVD. The way I see it, I want my kids to see that movie too, it's a classic.

Ohhh Disney Movies <3 I still watch them to this day. ...And know all the lines in quite a few of them <_< Don't ask.

I used to play with barbies a lot, and make them sing along to the country music station. Yeah, not into that much anymore. Also watched Doug <3 <3 And The Big Comfy Couch and sesame street, oh man <3 I could never do the clock stretch, it depressed me. I also liked to rollerblade a lot, don't do that anymore. Annnnnnnnd of course, loved all the 90's boy bands. Still do. =D

Masked Rider, Power Rangers, Clangers, (when it was on, finished before I was born, me thinks) Rainbow, Thomas The Tank Engine, X-Men, Spiderman, Dextors Labratory and these days, I still watch Pocoyo and that show with the talking dog.

Loved Ninja Turtles. Watched them like, non-stop, and had all the toys and stuff. Loved them heaps.

Samurai Pizza Cats were also heaps good. It was funny, and when I watched an episode a few months ago, it was still funny.

Into earlier childhood, I liked Thomas the Tank Engine too. Something to do with trains. Trains are cool :P Had heaps and heaps of trains :P

Toys I liked... Mostly Ninja Turtle and trains :P

Yeah, my mind was pretty simple (some might argue that it still is).
