Well, I was blabbing per usual in the IRC, making idle interesting and yet quite influential longwinded chitter chatter and a thought came within my many words.

Since there has been a bunch of hypotheticals lately, why not make one of my own? Thus, here it is, the little thought that bounced between Phoenix, Krikie, KK, and I. The Great fall of America.

What would happen if the great fall came here in America? How would you handle yourself and others? Would you become a loner and fight for yourself and all that you could take by your lonesome? Or, would you join with your family within a community group and entrench yourself and guard what's yours? Live or die? War or Peace?

How would you survive in and or after the great fall?

No I'm just kidding...
I myself do not live in America but I will give my opinion on this matter.

It's obvious that in the world, that we cannot have one huge powerhouse that tries to control everything. It upsets the balance of power in the world and that's when things start to become uneasy. America is far too powerful for it's own good and it's influence is spreading everywhere. We need to live in a world community on this planet, not in an American one.

It would be interesting to see if America actually does collapse. It happened to Rome, Russia, Germany ect. So who knows. It wouldn't be a pretty sight though, seeing as though America has it's knees deep in every other countries affairs so they would be affected too. But on the bright side, maybe America will try and reassociate itself in thw world and stop trying to be a world of its own.

I can see all Americans fighting to the bitter end, if American pride is as strong as it is depicted on TV.

Well yeah, just thought I'd express my view or five.

What would I do? Let it fall. What would I care? Like most Australians I know, we'd just keep going. It's half a world away.

Go and defend the Norwegian coastline from illegal immigrants escaping from the madness going on overseas..? We can't just have our population quadrupling as a result of crazy Americans randomly crashing into the Norwegian coast, you know... Nope, can't have that.

When this day comes, I won't be surprised. We're living in a country that relies mainly on imports. Our economy is based entirely around services, and even worse is that our money itself is backed merely by faith in the American economy. It's just a matter of time. :p

If this day comes, though, I think I'd wind up just moving to Canada. Everything will probably still be cool in Canada.

Well, first off, I would attack my neighbors and lay claim to the street, secure my family and make sure nothing happens to them....for now. They'all all probably die eventually from something, I would have to deal with it and man up, it's the freaking fall!

I would eat all of the food from the other homes with my family in a nifty post fall lax living spree and live high on the hog for probably around a month or so, or until some prowling nosey vagabond(s) come along and try to steal my care free paradise of chaotic awesomeness.

Than I would go all sneak attack Native on them, guerilla warfare and all that with some form of sharp instrument.

I would probably try to get through this labirytnh of housing with my family in toe, using what cars we can use and stealing what petrol we can grab.

We would take solace on the reservation with the families and guard our territory, roaming about and returning to our routes.

That's how I would like it to be, the entire midwest to become the spaghetti western it should be. Of course, I do suspect some form of civil War would take place with random ethnicites or old US power holders grabbing power all around them becoming a type of modern warlord/power boss.

It would be quite interesting me thinks.

And of course, you have got to expect those invasions from all the other countries that once helped in creating the US of A.

I wouldn't be surprised if France, England, Spain, and Russia took back what was theirs, oh silly me, and Mexico. ^_^

Sorry, I don't know where I remembered that quote from, but I searched it on Google again, and this is what I came up with. Personally, I don't see the great significance with this, other than Rome, and the World falling, and all.

Basically, when the World enters some form of Nuclear Holocaust, everything will probably end up like Hokuto no Ken, so unless you know some head-exploding martial-arts, you should be fine.

That is, of course, until the eight foot, three hundred pound Bikers come across the desert with their mohawks and dune buggies.
