Bye-Bye Photoshop!

With the title, i mean, Photoshop stands in my Recycle Bin. I had a trial for 30-days. I think many of you know, Photoshop CS is 1,016$ !!!!!!!!! So i thought of a replacement. A free one.
Well, i searched EVERY pc magazine and i finally found it ! It's called...
THE GIMP
Its very cool, raised at the level of Photoshop, and it's FREE!

HOW TO GET
The install had 7mb - i couldn't attach it. I tried uploading it on the Web ; it was an error. So the only way is to DOWNLOAD it by searching "the gimp" on Download.com (http://www.download.com).

Yeah, a lot of people here already use GIMP. It's actually listed as a resource in this thread. (http://www.uffsite.net/forums/showthread.php?t=17841)

It should also be noted that most people who use photoshop payed considerably less than $1000 for it.

I freaking love it. <3 Maybe one day I'll get accustomed to Photoshop too but I think the GIMP's more GFX noob-friendly. And yeah, you can use it without having to feel bad. ;p Psh, $130/pirating.

Yay, another convert :P

The GIMP definitely isn't as good as photoshop, but it's pretty damn good for nothing. I use it mainly because it is free, and it works, and I don't really use image editing enough to justify a purchase. However, like, Open Office vs Microsoft Office, you're obviously going to get a better product from a company which has hundreds of people developing it rather than a random mass of people who do it in their spare time.

Yeah I've had GIMP for about a year now. Quite useful for some things. I still think photoshop is better, but considering GIMP is free, who's complaining eh? Pretty nifty replacement.
