I'm at via calm lands and wondeirng how strong i should be roughly?

The first time through? It's a bit hard to gauge thanks to the sphere grid, but I'd be aiming to have Lulu know the -aga tier of spells by then and possibly have at least 25,000 gil in your pocket for a certain Aeon. Also Kimhari should know at least 4 Overdrives by then too. Tidus should have his second (or possibly his third) and Auron should have his Second overdrive as well.
