I remember there used to be a request area but I guess that's gone. So I guess this is the best place to ask. Can anybody make me a Gun X Sword Sig & Avatar? Please and thanks. :)

I'm working on it right now for ya :D Hopefully you'll like it. I'm planning two different versions of the Sig, so I'll probably have two different versions of the Avi too so they match.

EDIT: The sigs are supposed to have transparent backgrounds so if those don't work out right I'll try a different means of getting them to ya.

EDIT 2: I'll just post the sigs normally. Along with their links underneath so you can just copy/paste that into your sig should you so happen to use one.

oh....mine didn't turn out quite as smooth as I thought they would...good thing I still have them open for editing! Don't worry, FK, I'll get those fixed for ya!

EDIT: And Anty, not a bad attempt if I may say so myself. I can see what you were getting at with the lettering, and I think with some practice you could really get it to work. I'm also assuming that the white is supposed to be transparent? If so, the cutting around the pic is great! Just need to get the transparency down. I'd try to explain how to do it but I'm not too good at that kind of stuff.

I see. Well no problems, haha. I haven't done requests in a few years, mostly because I haven't been on forum sites that often since I got up into High School, and now since I'm graduated I figure I might as well try to pop in at least once a day. Especially to Uffsite, cuz it's my favorite. :D

I'll have the fixed ones to ya by the end of the day for sure. Thankfully the inverted one doesn't look that bad, so once I smooth it over they should both be perfect.

well, it depends on what program you're using, really. I, myself only have experience with Photoshop, and for that you choose "Save For Web And Devices" then (for mine) I selected "PNG-24" as the file type and just checked the "Transparency" box and saved. But yeah, it varies by program, haha, and I only know Photoshop, so sorry if I can't help out with any other software. But thankfully that's what everyone else is here for!

ALTHOUGH... another nifty trick you could always do is make the background of your image the same color as the background of the forums. That would work too, I would think.

Ah, that's what I thought you were using. Haha, I tried using GIMP once but just couldn't get used to it. I'm a Photoshop junkie for life, it seems. XD

ooo thunder storms, haha. I hate those, the rain messes up my phone lines, which in turn screws my internet over since I have dial up. XD

My only real advice would be just to google some tutorials on how to do it. That's really the most help I can be on that subject, lmao.

Also, Anty: I'm not sure how good this is (http://www.fabiovisentin.com/tutorial/GIMP_transparent_image/gimp_how_to_make_transparent_image.asp) but I looked it over briefly and it seems okay. Like before, .PNG files & .Gif files are your best bet when using transparent stuff, like what CloudStrife had done for his signature for Final Kid.

Also, I like your cleaned up signatures CloudStrife (Or do you prefer Colin? Haha) It's a lot nicer, but I think you missed a spot in the top right corner on them both. It's really light. I'm assuming you're using a lighter skin so you can't see it well?

Anyway, D: I'm not happy with my result, FK, but you've got others to choose from ;) I got lazy in my work & spent most of my time in the background (Which should be a no-no >_>) and not on Van as much. In fact, I think it's very plain. ;_; I tried to make up with it by tossing your name in, but I always get stumped on names & placement (And fonts, but who is keeping track? >_>)

With GIMP you have to set an alpha channel to the background layer (right click on the layer in the layers dialog and click "Add alpha channel" - or something similar), and then you can erase to transparency. Then you just save as a png by typing "filename.png" when you save it. Should come up with a bunch of options which you can mess with.

Haha, I don't mind being called by username, as do I not mind being called by my real name either. Whichever is more convenient for ya.

And did I really? o_O I am using a lighter skin at the moment, but I wasn't when I uploaded it...I'm surprised I didn't catch it. I'll take a look. Thanks for spotting it for me!

There ya go, Anty! I see a few spots here and there that you missed, but it looks great!

Oh, and Miko, I took a look at my sigs but I guess I'm blind and can't see exactly what you're talking about. XD Unless you're talking about the white specks around the outline of the picture, then those I can see. Haha, and even if you weren't talking about those, I'll probably go back and fix em, lol. Gotta make it perfect! And btw, I'm quite fond of your sigs. :D

EDIT: and I'm back to the Royale skin too so it's darker now...

Alright, I'll be sure to take a look. I like to take my time with mine, but I've gotten a little rusty over the years since I've slowed down on my practice a bit. I'm probably gonna start working quite a bit on stuff like this in the near future, if not just solely for practice. Going too fast really isn't that much of a problem, in my opinion, as long as you have a good attention to detail and can pick out all of the tiny imperfections. Hah, just look at me. That sig took me about an hour to make but I still missed a lot the first time around. And there's even some I missed the 2nd time (which was actually kinda rushed). It's all about practice.

And I've already said I'm a fan of your set as well. :D Yuna was my favorite female FF character up until FFX-2, lol. And Final Fantasy VIII (I bought 8, 9, and 10 all at the same time but my original copy of 8 froze in the cutscene just before Dollet so I never got to see Rinoa at the time, then like half a year later I'd finally found a new copy of FFVIII).

FFXIII sounds like a good idea, but yeah, I imagine there isn't much out there right now. And thanks! I'd had this name in mind for a while now, even made a few sigs for it a while back, I just never had the Gil to change it, but AP helped me out there. :D

Hahaha, wow... It seems everybody had some nice long chats about editing and had some tries at the Gun X Sword sigs and avays. :P

But I like both CS7 and Not Miko's a lot. I also like Anty's but it's sadly not my style. Sorry man.

Thank you everybody. If anybody else wants to have a try though, I'd like to see them still. ;)

tis ok FK just did this as some more practise and by doing so i learnd how to do transparensy which has helped my other work EMENSLY, so really thank you for posting the request that lead to all this^^

Your welcome and alright, that's good. And yeah, transparency took me awhile to get down when I could edit images but it gets easier eventually.

To CS7: Yeah, the inverted one looked sick, especially in the signature part.
