We had a similar thread over on The Gaming Vault, but that forum doesn't exist anymore, so I thought we could try a similar one here on UFF.

The dream thread is basically for sharing dreams. Not the "my dream is to become a pilot" kind, but the "last night I dreamt this and that" kind. I find that it can help to get this sort of thing off ones chest, not to mention getting some help in rooting out what the whole thing might mean.

So I guess I'll go first.

I had a rather strange dream a few nights ago which I still haven't figured out. I was at a get-together with some friends of mine and I was standing over the snacks buffet. Suddenly someone taps me on my shoulder. When I turn around I see a friend of mine. This might not seem so strange, but this particular friend of mine killed himself May 2009. For some reason I bring this up during my dream, asking him if he'd faked his death or if it was some sort of elaborate hoax. He never really gave me a straight answer. I think it was more along the lines of "I can't really talk about that..." I took him to get a beer, then I woke up.

I'd say your dream is about regret on the face of it. Regret about the time that one could have spent with your friend. This stuff seems to have a way of resurfacing, by that I mean major life events, even if you're not really thinking about it.

I haven't had any dreams that can be recalled recently but that's probably because of my silly sleeping patterns. But my dreams usually consist of mundane everyday tasks with people I've never met before.

Oh what a great idea! Now I don't have to force the poor boyfriend to listen to my dreams haha. :D

That really struck a cord though, wow. How did you feel after that? ): When my cousin died (I was 8, he was 9) for years and years I wrestled with a ton of regret. I still do today; I wasn't very nice to him. For weeks after he had passed I dreamt of him occasionally, to the point it actually bothered me, but I really really feel like that must be their way of visiting us and telling us they're okay, wherever they are. It sounds really childish but hey *shrug*

Anyways last night I dreamt that I set a tiny liquor shop on fire, and when everyone had run out I took a few bills out of the cash register, stuffed them in my bra and I took off with this HUGE bottle of Nesquik banana milk. I'm talkin three feet tall. My mystery partner pulled up and we drove away, but as we did I noticed a blue glow on my hands and feet, and as I look back there are blue foot prints all around the store and on the side of the road. Kind of creepy now that I think about it. o_O

I woke up and checked my bra and I was very pissed indeed. No cash. More so about the lack of banana milk though, but I will fix that later.

:D Ahhh

How I felt after he died, or how I felt after my dream? When I found out he was dead I just felt numb. Apparently he struggled with a lot of issues, even after adolesence, but hardly anybody knew. I don't think even his parents knew about it. It was especially fucked up having to go to work a few hours after I found out he killed himself. Standing behind a cash register and smiling at customers felt so unreal.

After dreaming about him I just thought: "Wow, that was unreal..." I've accepted that he's gone, and I thought I'd moved on. It sucks that he's gone, and I sometimes wish I'd been able to help him in some way, but he never told anyone apparently. We were good friends when we went to school together, but we kind of drifted apart when we went to different upper secondary schools. Maybe that's what I'm regretting?

Recently, I've been sleeping deeply a lot with no dreams but, the last dream I had was violent to say the least.

The neighbors from the first floor of our apartment building were taking something from us. I can't remember exactly what but it was important enough for me to fight them for it and fight them I did.

I ran down and found them in the stairwell between the first and second floor and killed two of them with a knife I borrowed from my friend, whom is also in my martial arts class. Military quick kills to be precise the second one's blood spraying against the wall and on to my shirt.

This old one came up from behind but, I gave him a throat shot and more or less threw him down the stairs towards the basement.

Someone then grabbed me from behind but, I slammed them backwards into the door frame of the door to walk into the first floor from the stairwell and then back fisted him as he reeled from the pain and I think I elbowed him or something but he went down holding his face.

Then more people were coming out of the apartments on the first floor with weapons and whatnot and then I woke up.

I really wish I could see where the dream went from there considering I know how to disarm most weapons. Hrm.

Not mine, but quite funny...

A friend of mine at work, Kris, dreamed that he was pregnant, and that another one of our colleagues, Holly, was the 'father'.

What to make of this?! :retard:

The other night I dreamed my brother and I were trying to get back to Denver from our reservation in South Dakota.

Dad being the dick he is wouldn't drive us but, would travel along with us so I ended up managing to secure a motorcycle with a little seat on the side for my brother to sit in.

We ended up making it to Reno for some reason and then Mom came and picked us up and took us home.

Odd.

Ok so.. ya i vaguely remember this from last night but here we go.

I was in the military (Imagine that) and I had this pet dog. It was a Chiwawa, an ugly little thing and for some reason i loved this dog so much. I don't know what exactly happened but it was basically me getting promoted to sergeant and this ugy dog. That's all i can remember was the ugly little chiwawa face from my dream.

Whip out your dream book and help me understand that one Mr.Wizard.

I had the best zombie dream ever! Okay, so I was stuck in my school, (which on the outside looks like the house in this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwIe_sjKeAY)) Okay, so my sister, my friend's brother and mother were there along with Dee and Max from It´s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. Okay, so it was all very mellow, we watched TV, played on the computers and all that cal, hell, the kids had one classroom all for themselves, with a mountain of pillows and a TV, and occasionally we risked ourselves outside to get food, but not without machetes of course. Suddenly, the zombies evolved, got smarter and tricked their way inside. Now, I don't know what happens to my sister, my friend's brother and mother, but I manage to get outside only to be bitten and turned into one. According to the dream, being a zombie is experiencing everything super-fast and blurry and, oh yeah, always hearing techno music. Then I got shot. But the dream did not end, as I merely became a hovering consciousness or something, and I was brought to Dee and Max, where they had found their way to the sewers, (which in the dream was a small square room with green goo instead of water and pipes all over the place. Max did not survive, but Dee did and saved by the military. Then I woke up.

I had....................................... then I woke up.

Well. Apparently your friend is too young. I presume around 13-18. To see someone dead in an O.K condition(I don't know about your beliefs) He will rest in peace in the grave; Nothing much on that. So, do not worry.

Also, Observing some other friends, shows that, in a way you are good with them relationship(friendship). That's about it.
----------------------------------

My dream:

I saw my self Flying above my house in then started to Jump from roof to roof in the night time.

Obviously, this indicates that I am sometimes, too egotistical. Also, shows that in the future. I will hold the maximum authority in my residence.

Sorry, But it will look frivolous to make another thread for "Dream Interpretation" While we have one here.

You guys can PM for an Interpretation.

Actually he was two weeks away from turning 21 when he comitted suicide. Still too young to die though, but still. I never saw his body, not even at the funeral, just his coffin.
