Minecraft, the sensation that has swept the world for over two years, has finally had an official release as Minecraft 1.0.

The game, independently developed by Markus “Notch” Persson in Java, has seen many revisions and additions since its inception. This huge milestone can only mean more success for the game where you can practically do anything. Congrats, Notch and Mojang!
