Just to add to the discussion topics- a lot of you members have been through hard times. Heck, this forum wouldn't exist if you hadn't. So what helps you through those hard times? I don't necessarily mean people- but things you do that help take your mind of your troubles, or help you think out ways to solve them. I think it'd be interesting to see answers to this.
Personally, gaming is my therapy. Whenever I have troubles, I need something else to focus my mind on, so that I can think them out little by little- rather than letting them overwhelm me. Things like watching tv, or going for a walk let your mind wander too easily. With gaming you're actively doing something you have to concentrate on, which is theraputic for me- takes me to a world where there are no unsolvable problems.
What about the rest of you? :)

I just talk about it, or write poems about it. It's always good to talk about things. :)

For me, therapy is a strange process. I usually start by slapping on my headphones and listening to some music, depending on the nature of the current tragedy. From there, I'll start writing, and I'll get so engrossed in my writing that it will put things in the proper perspective. And then, I'll start to hope for the future... because when there is hope, there is future, if you can make it...

I meditate. I go and sit outside on a mound of dirt left from building and center myself. No music or special positions, just nature.
Gaming also helps relieve my anger, nothing like going and blowing up ducks to relieve anger

My therapy is probably crying, or thinking it through, then cry. o_O Well.. part of that is true! I don't cry much unless i'm on the edge of losing my sanity.
But I usually think it through. Seems weird, I know, but I like thinking stuff through. Looking at all angles and what I can do about it. For instance, my friend, he's been to 2 funerals in 2weeks. He's been so depressed that it's showing and he almost choked my friend, so she claims. And you know, I feel i should do something, although I know there's not much I can do.. so I wrote him a letter (after like a thousand attempts ^_^ ) and explained stuff to him. Turns out though, I didn't have to cuz I told him in his face that I, but not only me, was/were concerned about him. He's trying to cheer himself up now, and he's making us all feel more comfertable around him. Also, he seems to trust me a but more. Hehe..
thinking about it doesn't always have its results though, but sometimes I laugh at the thoughts, or cry.

Hehe, you know, Bee, I got this exact same thread idea yesterday, but I see you beat me to it.
Hmm... my therapy...
It`s usually gaming for me.
As BtG said, it`s a good way to get your mind focused on something else than problems.
Sometimes drawing helps too.
Drawing a bit dark drawings helps me express myself in a way.
But there are times when it`s impossible for me to concentrate enough, and then it`s hopeless to start drawing.
It`s the same with writing as well. (Yes, I do write. So far I`ve written one chapter of an awful KH fanfic. :P )
What else... oh yeah, something I`ve recently started doing.
Simply going for a little walk somewhere there are no people nearby so I can be completely alone and just think.
It might not sound like it, but it does help. :)
Let`s see... the last thing I can think of is listening to music.
I have my own homemade sad FF music CD for times like that.
It`s a great way of expressing yourself, in my opinion.
Watching TV has never worked for me.
I usually only end up thinking about my problems while watching, and don`t enjoy the show at all.
Yep, that`s all I can think of.

Whenever I'm really, really stressed, or feeling down, I shout, and carry out all those silly tension-releasing exercises... but you know, sometimes they really do help. And sometimes I try to make myself cry, but I can't... the tears never come when I want them to.
I think the best therapy for me is music. I just put on some Final Fantasy music and I feel better straightaway. It helps to calm me down and make me feel that my life isn't so bad after all. Music works wonders.... ^_^
