Ok, so the new forum layout has been put into place...lemme detail what's new and what's changed:

This whole category is new...well, sorta. This announcements forum is so announcements can be seen easier, and allows commenting. The site suggestions forum is for just that...site suggestions
Lit is now a part of entertainment...entertainment has been renamed "Entertainment/Literature"
Tech help and site promotion have been merged. It's now called "WWW Help/discussion". Site promotion is a sub-forum within it.
Homework help is gone and its threads moved to GC. Please post homework-related questions in General Chat.
General Gaming has been moved to the "Gaming" category (previously "Final Fantasy Forums" category)
There are now three categories of FF games: FF future, present and classic. Inside each forum are sub-forums for each respective game. The main part of the forum (outside of the sub forums) can be used for general talk about that category of FF's (note, GFF still exists).
There are no more anime central sub-forums.

That's all for now. Note that you can post your comments in announcements now, too...so comment away! :)

I think it's really cool that we can post our comments in announcements. I like this idea for a new look. I like changes, but it will take a while to get used to. Now the forums are more organized.

This definitely is a good change.

WOAH.

everything is literally changed except for LHH... I couldn't even find where FFVIII forum is.

But then, I need to adapt the new things, so it's generally a very good change.

i like it...

its compact, which is better for me, as well as has announcements/board suggestions which will always help in the long run.

it sort of reminds me of another board....

I like the new layout, even though I was used to the new one I can see how it would be easier to use for newbies and easier for them to post in the right forum and not feel like a fool. Kudos to you.

Let's all just hope that this new layout will benefit more people. If it starts to come up with too many problems then the likelihood is that it will have to reutnr to the beginning layout. Or if the worst happens...

"Sometimes a house becomes so infested with termites, that you must not only burn the termites, but the house as well."
(A message to reflect the closing down of ssrg.emulationzonr.org)

I don't want to play Devil's Advocate (mainly because it's too hard, lol) but you have to be very careful with a new layout. That said, I look to any new changes in the future that we can all enjoy.

Yeah, but Andy from SSRG was a frigging psycopath, or so I understand. I mean, didn't he try to sue those lot who flamed him for mental damage? He was a pretty weird guy, and to be honest I think he went insane. He "burnt" the house to stop the likes of Sonic Cult, and they still live, and now they're the best Sonic site around.

(And, Ooh, a fellow SSRGer.)
