i think its too general and makes too many connections with my life and the life of others... not a good quote in my opinion.

As a matter of fact, it's not general at all. It addresses a very specific topic: life. There are PLENTY of quotes on the subject of life. And I, for one, think it's a very nice quote.

with words like many and someone, i think its very general and vague...

yes, it deals with life... but it doesnt deal with any specifications of life. just states that it is a journey, and there is a victory, which can lead to many interpretations.

keep in mind that this is just constructive criticism, not attacks on anyone's character.
