I loved this sidequest. I really did. But let's face it, this game took a LOT of patience.

You're happily pecking away at the ground, and suddenly...

"Kweh?!"

Your heart skips a beat! So you move Choco just a bit over in another direction.

"K-KWWWEEHHHHHHH!!!"

*dig dig dig dig* *dig dig dig*

It's the CHOCOBO HOT & COLD game!!!

How much time did you spend working of Chocobo Hot & Cold? Once you finished the treasure hunt, did you continue it? And when in the game do you usually finish it?

---

I'm not sure exactly how long it took me to finish my usual H&C game. I know I would sometimes spend about three hours just playing it, and level Choco from red to dark blue by the time I decided to move on. Before that, I'd probably spent two hours or so. After that, another two or three hours until it I'd found the first seven dead pepper treasures.

Then it's off to fight the Earth Guardian. Yep, I usually finish H&C after leaving Ipsen and dropping everyone off to the shrines. Then I'll be all set for Ultima Weaponing by the time we're back from Terra! Wheee!!!

And yup, I like taking Choco back to the Air Garden, sometimes just for she sheer amusement of how darn fast a level 45 beak can whack up prizes. Mene has to stop me a lot... heeheehee.

K-KKKWWWWWWWWEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHHHHHHH!! What about you?? ^_^

I love the Chocobo Hot and Cold game. Right after I get the Hilda Garde 3, I do the games. I get all the chocographs, and do all the treasure hunts. Once I get 10,000 points, I stop and exchange it for a Robe of Lords for Vivi.

Then it's off to Ipsen's Castle. WHEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I spent more time playing Chocobo H&C than I even care to think about....my chocobo was my life. :P

I'd always raise him to level 99 on my first trip to Chocobo Forest (that's many hours, right there), and then I'd be careful to always get him as high as possible, as soon as possible.

I'd play H&C other times too, though. Like when I was not in the mood to continue on with the normal game, or when I just felt like playing for no reason. I think the hours I played on H&C actually exceed those I played actually going through the game. Oy.

Just like ArrowCat. Hours and hours and hours on end... It never stops. Until it messes up my hand, and I can't play it anymore, or write, or draw, because it causes much, much pain. That happened. It's all better, now - but I need to remember not to play Chocobo Hot & Cold every day for 3 hours at a time! @_@ It caused problems at school, and I had trouble writing my homework because my hands hurt so much. A couple months later, my hands were healed, though. I WUVV THEE, CHOCOBO H&C!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well my first time playing the game, when I played Chocobo Hot and Cold..I kinda gave up on finding anything after I found my first Chocograph..Cuz I didnt think I would ever find anymore Chocographs. So I waited till right before Memoria to play it again and then once I started finding chocographs again I continued playing it ^_^ And then my second time through,I just waited till right before Memoria to start Chocobo Hot and Cold and finish it

I usually always wait right before Memoria to do all the sidequests..well the ones you can do on disc 4..which is alot.

I started playing the Chocobo Hot and Cold game before i went to Gizamaluke's Grotto. I was always playing that game with Choco and his beak level (as of right now) is at 28. plus, Choco is a Gold Chocobo. thats how i found Ozma and beat him.

oh and, I'm Emerald Carbuncle from the other message board

I played that game a lot. I wanted to get that robe for ViVi so I think I took most of my time playing that game.I would keep that game for hours and hours nonstop until I got a headache.

The Chocobo Hot and Cold game was fun at first, but I got tired of it after a while. It took a lot of patience to dig up and retrieve all of the teasures, but I did. But even so, I couldn't complete the sidequest entirely! I never recieved the Fat Chocobo card for some reason. I found everything. >_< The regular ones and the hidden ones. It took me ages to find one that's in the middle of the ocean by Oeilvert (somewhat), but I got it! Argh. Gah. But the Ultima was worth it.

I love Chocobos. ^_^

To tell you the truth, I have no patience. I used GS codes to get all chocographs, and I used another code to have infinite time in H&C. I got lvl99 beak easy. I sad aren't I?

I quite enjoyed the Chocobo Hot & Cold game. It was fun finding all the different forests and the "ohhhh ^_^ " every time you found a treasure.

Yeah I supose I did get a bit impatient with it at times but I'm a very determined person and I hate quiting things and just giving up. It took me days to complete it I lost count of how much but all the things you recieve in the end makes it worth it.

I did NOT like Chocobo Hot & Cold, that is, paying some gil to find some treausre in... some places. But... I tell you, I literally SCREAM everytime I hit on a Chocograph. I get and then bounce around, then I go outside and search for the treausre. THAT part I like, because it takes up no gil and there's no idiotic time limit.

I haven't completed the Chocobo Side-Quest, and I found the Choograph part of it reallly fun. Otherwise, it was rather too tedious, in my opinion.

I'm at Disc 4; I defeated Marilis at Level 60 or so, then came outside to continue the side-quest. It's the first time I've got this far. My Chocobo is light-blue in colour - don't loook down on me, people!!!!

I also do not know the hours upon hours I put into the quest, yet I uncovered most of all the treaures available.

In my first two games, right before the Ifia Tree on disk three, I would stop proceeding in the game and acomplish all of the sidequests available in disk three.

My favorite was the Chocobo Hot and Cold quest. I finally had to stop playing this when I uncovered the secret boss Ozma and got my ass kicked by him... then I went to do nothing but level up to fight him...and still died...*sighs*
