Hi, I heard that you can boost your trance,

Is this true or they're kidding me ?

how can I do that ??

U need an ability on ur weapon...can't remember the name right now

I think it is High Tide,but i am not sure

Boost Trance? Hmm... well, High Tide doesn't really boost your trance power, it just makes it so that you can reach Trance faster. All the characters are affected by trance differently, too, so other things like attack power, spirit, and abilities learned will affect Trance.

For instance, Dynes are affected by Zid's attack power and type of trance, obviously.

Anyway, I'm not sure that's what you were hoping for, but that's what affects Trances.

If you're having a lot of trouble with the Guardian, one thing you can do is take Zidane and Quina around to fight a few extra battles and level them up a bit before heading to the Earth Shrine.

I'm usually anywhere from level 35-50 or above by the time I get there. A good trick is to take the two out for a few random battles and get Zidane's trance bar up so that he'll trance in one hit. A few hits with Grand Lethal or Solution 9 (which you should have by this point) will take the Guardian down in no time!

You can also equip both Zid and Quina with Auto-Float, which will protect them against the Earthquake move that EG will throw at you.

If having troubles, equip Quina with "Return Magic". He'll do Earth Shake right back.

oh and one point: you can learn Earthshake!

You can eat the Earth Guardian!

but other than that, you can still get Earthshake by eating Adamantoises the marshland of Forgotten Continent (don't go in Qu's marsh!)

and it's 100% adamantoise-ish.

Unfortunately, you have to fight the Earth Guardian later on...

Aah, the earth Gaurdian. Well, Quina always knows White wind when I have him/her, and lotsa and lotsa hyper potions.
Basically, if you're not near trance when you go to fight him, then keep healing Zidane untill he DOES hit Trance.

for earth guardian

put on somein that absorbs earth and fire, ice and lighting if posible (vanish and might guard helps too) then bash it to death
