I might brown it a little if anything, but that should hopefully be mostly contained by my underwear.

...indeed.
I miss riding bikes. I haven't ridden a bike in years.
It would definitely make my cardio smoother. These days all I do is run or jump rope.

I rode a bike today. And I'm waiting for parts to repair another one.

Just wanted to say that rpgsite got mentioned in a norwegian newspaper's gaming part today, refering to some information on Dragon Age 3.
Also. Bikes are for people too lazy to learn to drive a car. Or something else insulting, if the original insult didn't apply as well as I thought.

A Car? In this economy? Yeah, to hell with that noise. My Mom thought she could keep her car going and live happily...yeah, no.
If getting around with some cash in my pocket means simply getting up a little earlier and learning the public transportation routes I'm so game.
Speaking of cash, this job is actually working out. I thought it was going to be me earning like nothing being my instructor's lackey like the usual but, we seem to be impressing the hell out of this rich entrepreneur guy who is building his schools here in Colorado(The man essentially makes tournament fighting an art in itself so I could kill the man but, if we were in a tournament for point fighting he would run circles around me which explains why he has so much money...).
He is having us show him the Kali curriculum this coming Friday we made for his own teaching to augment his weird Tang Soo Do/Tae Kwan Do/Hapkido art he is paying us to teach but, also, he wants us to teach a straight up Kali course on Fridays.
We might end up being one of the biggest Kali schools/programs in the State if all our plans workout.
The only things remaining now really are them paying my instructor's way to Philadelphia to learn their art and I myself am learning this weird art from my instructor and this cool 4th degree black belt dude at the moment whom really seems to like our stuff.
Yes, Life is coming together.

I agree with Sioux about the car thing. If I had stayed with Paul, I would have been able to afford to run one, but really, my happiness is paramount.
All my flippin' family are still expecting me to buy one, though. They can sod off! Really it is frustrating, because I really do want one.
I do have a friend looking out for one, though. I told him it's totally not urgent now.

Sweet, details? I'm incredibly jealous of your licensing system in the states.. you wouldn't believe how contrived, long-winded and expensive it is to get a motorbike license over here in comparison.
W shush. Everybody knows you cagers are just out to kill bikers and pedestrians with your steel coffins of death.. or something along those lines. Plus you need a bike to make sweet sweet love to those curvy country roads.
Sioux that sounds fantastic. It's good to hear things are going well. You brown nose that rich bastard for everything he's got.

Yeah, it takes a good chunk of money out of your pocket each year to care for those two ton steel coffins. I don't think I'll ever commit to that. I enjoy the train, bus, and coming from a reservation I am used to walking everywhere.

Thanks.
We'll hopefully be meeting with him sometime soon but, tonight we're going to show our stuff to the 4th degree Black Belt and then next week we'll show the rich guy's second in command.
If all goes right I'll have at least a couple paychecks coming to me near the end of the year.

Oh, I thought you meant bicycle. Usually we call them motorcycles in the states, and "bike" just refers to bicycle, though not always. I have no interest in motorcycles, other than that they are (generally) more fuel efficient than cars. I've got no idea what the licensing requirements are here, as I recall they were fairly lax in Arizona when my dad got his for his BMW something-or-other motorcycle. Texas is probably even more so, but I glossed over that part of the manual.
I do enjoy my car though. 110000 miles on the odometer and runnin' fine. I try not to drive too much, as I can walk/bike almost anywhere and gas is expensive. Plus the bus stop is about 20 feet from my front door. It sure is convenient when I need it though.

Well, first game of the season for ASU is going excellently. 38-0, and we're still in the third quarter. Of course it's only UC Davis, so we'll have to see how they perform against a stronger team.
