How about a moment of silence for Gary Speed, then? 42 year old, Premier League legend, Wales-manager (gave Norway a right spanking a fortnight ago) found after a suicide today. Awful news.

Amen. Absolutely shocked to hear that news. Very sad...

I remember him playing in quite a few teams in the Premier League, and I'm saddened to hear of his passing. I couldn't believe it when I saw the Facebook updates when I got in form work.

Apparently he was on Football Focus, one of the football round-up programmes on Brtish TV, a few hours before his suicide. That makes it all the more shocking and unbelievable.

Rest in peace, Gary Speed.

Yeah, he was talking about how much he was looking forward to the world cup campaign, and how they would do it and so forth. A day later he's taken his own life.

The Football team of my city the "Brisbane Roar" made australian sporting history with an undefeated streak of 36 games, was ended about 3 weeks ago.

36 games? Good lord, that's lot. I'm going to tip my hat to them, because holy shit.

My team's won four in a row for the first time since October 2008, and here I was feeling good about that.
