When not on the internet, people tease me, pick on me, haze me, and provoke me. They laugh at me too. They think I'm stupid. Is that the same stupidity everyone here talks about? Somehow I get the feeling that my true colors are starting to show on the internet or something.

Everyones different. You just got to find the right people around you. I got 10000 people on my phone list yet I really only care about 5 to 10 of them not including family.

Also, figure out who you are and just simply act friendly with a smile on your face. If people hate you for that, then thats their problem.

You aren't that bad of a guy. We had our little arguement, and you seemed to be wavering towards the end of the thread. Don't do that. Stand strong to your beliefs and who you are, regardless of what other people may think or say.
Also, you should think about developing some elasticity for yourself. The world is harsh and full of people who could careless. Don't be so quick to push your beliefs on them and if they make any sort of sence, listen to them, as you may even learn something.
Don't worry about about other people. You don't seem that old, so your peers are going to be half retarded for a while, so don't worry about them.

your not the one with the problem if they don't like you. there is a whole list of psycological reasons why people bully etc but in the end your aren't the one at fault.

let me tell a story *little kids sit around*

at the church i go to there are a few guys that don't like. not all of them, i can easily say 95% of them like them, but there are a couple that don't, and they take any chance they can to vent that fury at me, yet they won't do it directly. as soon as they have an excuse to say something they attack me verbally, and i think it is sad. they don't have the backbone to come up to me and say, "Tom, i don't appreciate it when you do this, or talk like this, or say things about this etc." instead they act like little girls.

don't care about what they say or do, you seem pretty cool to all of us. perhaps the internet is a tool you can use to find out who you are. some people are like that. just remember to distinguish between realities.

I have seen a few people flame you, but I really don't know why, I think because they said you were coming up with usless posts and threads? But, so far your posts are great.

Now on the other hand..
You say people are teasing you? Well ok, here is a toughie, I myself [and chelsea, but it seems she doesn't post here anymore] go to the same school and it is kind of getto. Nice school but getto kids.

I referr myself one, but not on the internet.
You have to take the hard, bumpy, and tough road. Fight for yourself. Now if this is a gang of people, screw it, you'll get jumped. Pretty sure you will, but try to ignore them as much as you can. This is all I can say.

But so far, everybody likes on this forum. That's the best of what I can say. Hope the internet people are cool with you for a long time, and same off the internet.

Things aren't like what they used to be back in the olden days. Today, you try to ignore them, but, no, they keep at it and try to provoke you just to see you get angry. They find it amusing. They keep at it until you snap, and they just laugh when they see you mad. You know? Especially when you are the odd one down. And that's me.

You aren't a bad fellow. You are just going through life at yer pace. Don't mind those others as most people are ignorant and stupid to other people and their personal handicaps. You just need to gain experience in life some more and just continue living at your own pace. Nothing more and nothing less.

Dude, I'll break it down for you. You don't have to get angry or fight back. Just talk back. Curse if you have to. Make fun of them with some clever come backs. Whatever.

You seem like an analytical person. So analysis the people that bad mouth you and figure out what will embarass them. Think of it as its all a game and just for fun. Just don't take it personally...

Zen, the world is a tough place, unfortunately. I know its difficult not to, but you can't let yourself think that the whole world is right & you're wrong, because its just not true. There are people out there who are very closed minded, very intolerant & very cruel.

However, from what I myself have been through, I think the best thing you can do is learn from it. So long as you feel that you try to be a fairly decent person and abide by fairly decent principles, then you can ignore these ignorant people who pick on you. But its not as simple as that - you've got to really make the effort not to fall into the same traps that those other people fall into. They're arrogant bastards but if you spend too much time telling yourself how superior you are to them, you'll become arrogant too. They're intolerant but if you become hypersensitive to their faults then you become intolerant too - this is especially relevant to religious issues.

So yeah...what I'm saying is that you're not a bad person. Not at all. I don't think so anyway. But the best way to cope with a situation like yours is not to sit around feeling sorry for yourself, but to actively use the experience to make yourself better. Its weird but, once you do that...bullying just seems irrelevant. If you genuinely feel you're doing your best in the different areas of your life, then who cares what other people say about you? In the end they don't know you and chances are they're not the type of people you'd choose to associate with anyway. Live for yourself, not for others, basically. The harshest judge of yourself is you. Learn from other people - they've got plenty to offer, but as Sioux says - live at your own pace.

I know you had some problems settling in here at first, but you've learnt from those & moved on. You took people's advice and as far as I'm concerned there's not a problem anymore. The problem never was to do with your personality anyway. You're fine, Zen, don't let what people say needle away at you

Just enjoy yourself here, you're perfectly welcome and valued.

I'm well above all that. As a post-novelist, I have to read and study alot and I have gained a lot of insight on life along with many philosohpical values. However, I have the habit to think alot.

Understatement blank, understatement.... my habit of analyzing has sent me tumbling from time to time, causing me trouble.

Unfortunately, due to this, i've grown distasteful towards god. I won't delve into why, and I'm sure you all know. This reason, along with my "newfound wisdom" that I earned through my studies, has caused me actually want a new, and better world, like most people want.... But I think I'm going a little too far. According to the great spiderman, "its a gift, a curse." You are cursed because you're more prone to be picked on. Its a gift, because I won't be who I am today, I wouldn't have the many talents i do now. I have an iq of... I think... 200.

I am immature and I struggle with the priorities of my responsibilities. But I believe I will overcome all that someday. It's just something I have to grow out of.
