To many polls. >.<
When into the General Gamning Board to make a topic today, and noticed all the insane polls of "This VS. That.'
Seem'd a bit much, but all I'm asking is if it's possible to move them in to a temperary forum? Like a VS board. Just untill this whole thing is over.

A land of innocence, has no need for Gods...until fate intervenes. When people pray a God is always born. Able to change eternity, that God is you. Are you a blessing, or a curse? Good, or evil? Be what you will, you are destiny.

I honestly don't see the point...most of the time polls are set to a time limit and after that amount of time their over...besides...it's not like it really gets in the way of your forum viewing...half the time I don't even bother with the poll itself.
Grammar Check: Too many polls. >_<

Well, I think his point is that you can't see any topics in General Gaming beside the polls. Tritely annoying, I suppose.

I see how it can be a bit of a bother, but... but... polls are fun!
That's not a bad idea though.

They don't disappear just because you can't vote in them anymore. If you start a new topic in the General Gaming forum now, the topic will drown in all the polls and be pushed way down the page in no time. The polls should just be moved to the bin after the polls are over. I PM'd Beastly yesterday asking him to move my tiebreaker polls and Xenon's old polls to bin, I don't think he's seen it yet.

BZero has a point there.
Why not set an example by posting new, improved, exciting threads? While at the same time you'll be pushing all the polls you dislike down the list, never to be seen again.
I don't think it calls for another forum though...
The only thing I would suggest is that if it bothers enough of you, someone could combine all the threads together to form a collosus 'this VS that' thread. Even then, it's a bit drastic.

I see your point..in that case I would support the idea of moving them to the trashbin once completed..it would stop the drowning out of topics.

Told you, Xen .
I don't really think it qualifies for a temporary forum either, but I do agree that its a problem. As it is, I can see two solutions - forget having a nice looking poll & have people vote by posts in one thread, or move the polls as they close, which has already been suggested. It depends on whether the people running the polls can be bothered counting up votes or not. And of course the anonymity is gone, but I don't think thats a huge problem.
But for now, I'll just make sure they're moved.
EDIT: Scratch that. Admins (& presumably smods) can edit the number of votes a poll has. So that means you can run just one poll, edit the choices & reset the votes to 0 as needed. So if the relevant people could do that in future please, & ask a member of staff to reset the vote count

To many polls t t
Indeed.
It is great you are so eager to help Jason, but there is no need to go searching in and out of every forum to see if you can help.
There are many people who will catch many requests, and they wont all be the same people either.
So just do what you can and so will the rest of us.
I shed a tear for the old forums too.
