I prefer the Wing Sword, thanks XD
Completed Deist Cavern. That was a hell of a cavern, anyway.
The Boss, 2 Chimeras, were a bit though to beat.
So, what now? I have to return to altair, isn't it?

Yeah. Up next: The annoying Queen Lamia fight. I actually remember getting game over here because my party basically killed themselves off and I was without a decent level Cure spell....
Good luck with her.

EDIT: Wait, I started wondering, which of the battles against him was it? The first in the Cyclone or the final battle?

Yeah no. I got by the monsters just by fine and when it came to him absolutely nothing worked so I was just like WTF. I remember Min saying I had to train the weapons though. Something like that. And yeah it was the final battle.
Dunno what this DoS you guys speak of is, but I played the SP version so ;o

DoS would be Dawn of Souls in this case.

Completed Lamia Queen and Colosseum. The Behemoth Sprite was.... weird.
So, that blasted Mateus escaped. And now the rebels want to take back Fynn.
Going to the Fynn Castle, now.

I was pwned in Fynn castle 4 times. Now I've completed it, and went to the basement to get the mask. Still there.

FFII was one of those games I never got round to playing. I might have a bash at the ROM in the week running up to christmas.

Went to Mysidia. Got all the magics I've missed. Toad and Mini are One-hit KO in this one, I love them. Sadly, no Palom or Porom this time

Oh, that damned Mysidian tower is freaking hard, and Gareth/Ricard isnt helping me much, either. I hope that Ultima is going to be THE spell, because is if not...

Well, be aware that it won't be very effective till you train it, just like with all other magics. And if you've trained your characters a lot, it won't change much. But since you sound like you find the tower difficult, I suppose the magic will do just fine for you. But just remember not to get disappointed if it doesn't deal as much damage as you thought at first. It can become quite bad-ass after it's trained though xD.

Finished the game yesterday. The Final Boss was REALLY easy. Ultima didn't help me, so I went with Flare. Mateus's Ultimate Spell (Starfall XVI), the Meteor of this game, wasnt that powerfull. First, I killed it with the Blood Sword (3 turns) and then I loaded my game and killed it without cheating.
My little bro is now playing Soul of Rebirth. The monsters here are difficult *cough*ultimaweapon*cough*. He can't make it.

To help your bro on the SoR part he might want to play through the game again and use the new data because whatever stuff they had before they died is how they will be in the SoR.
If you have any more questions about the DoS's version feel free to ask, I pretty much know most of it because I played through it that many times... It grows on ya.

Thank you, but my bro completed SoR a week ago. The ending was so-so, but the extra story elements make it a notable remake. Now, I'm waiting for the PSP version!

Yeah, I think they could of done a bit more with the SoR ending as well, I mean you should be able to go back to the town and talk with Cid and such... or at least be given a chance to live their new lives out until they die again (thus not the eternal life that was offered to them from the Emporer).
