I actually didn't think any move would be able to overtake Mononoke Hime as my favorite...and then I saw Spirited Away.
That. Movie. Is. Awesome!
All of the Studio Ghibli films definitely rank as my favorites.

Lesse then, my favorite movie is a three way tie between Princess Mononoke, Macross II lovers again, and Akira.

Princess Mononoke and Sprited Away are my favorites but I'm awaiting the U.S release of Cowboy Bebop :Knockin' on Heavens Door. SQUEE!
Edit-ness- Cowboy Bebop is my new favorite move EVER!
it has everything, drama, violence and Ed hits the streets!

To be sure, some fine anime movies have been mentioned here. I loved Princess Mononoke and others such as Spriggan and Ninja Scroll.
But aren't forgetting the original knigpin of anime and my personal fav - Akira (kudos to Judecca on that point).
It was kick ass when it came out, it was kick ass 5 years ago and it kicks ass now - especially with the new Redux version.
However, I haven't seen Spirited Away yet so I'll have to reserve judgement on it.

The first Inuyasha movie was really cute. Kinda like a glorified TV episode, though, but it was a real treat to watch. The animation was so... different. Timing and style were different, but the detail was amazing. When they did the CG time tree shots, it was beautiful!
Hehe... Eiko, you know that picture of youkai Inu and Kagome in your sig?
*SPOILERS*
That's right before they kiss. (Even though that's kinda obvious)
