Sadly, no new PS3 today. Lightning will have to wait a little more

Spending Christmas with people you work with is an odd experience, but hey it's getting the job done.

Aye, yesterday's Who was rather mint. Personally, I think it doesn't rival the first Chrimbo special, but then again, it knocks the rubbish out of the Tate one last year, so who's complaining.

The Ood. The blooming Ood.

Guitar Hero III is made of so much win. Been playing Dragonforce, Iron Maiden, Muse and Rise Against all day yesterday, and I might as well make a day of it again today.

That's because Dragonforce hurts like Holy chuffing Hell. Even just on Medium. Doesn't help that I'm still having to wear a support around my wrist as well.

But yeah - I love jumping around to Knights of Cydonia, and I do have to say that Rise Against song isn't too bad. Best thing though is being able to play the Halo theme. I'm that sad. Might get the Foo's pack.

Raining Blood's good for weeding out failures on Medium.

The Foos pack is pretty damn sexual - The Pretender is actually as hard as nails. All My Life is always fun to do the whole hair swishing thing and pretend you're half as good as Dave Grohl.

I just wish Bloc Party's Helicopter was available without Co-op play. I haven't got a second guitar to piss about with my sister yet.

Started playing Crisis Core.

I almost died on my first battle. Took me a while to figure out how to use Potions. Plus the fact I was freaking out because I was fighting a huge Behemoth thing. The graphics are sooooo pretty though. I noticed that it's kept a lot of familiar tunes from FFVII, like the Bombing Mission opening.

Use a pad. It's not half as difficult as you'd think. Takes a bit of getting used to - that's about it.

And it means you get a few achievements, if you're into that sort of thing.

Sort of relating to this: OH MY GOD. MASS EFFECT IS ACE. Yes. Yes it is.

...Final Fantasy XII is shaping to be my new favorite Final Fantasy game. I never saw that coming, at all.

It has really really good cut scenes that make the political charged/war plot line all the more powerful. The challenges of leveling for a hunt, for a new license and the versatile power that the gambit system brings is incredible. Jesus, it beats out everything before it for me, It even beats out my infatuation with the Junction system from VIII.

I am also in love with the fact that all the weapons and accessories and armors are all from Final Fantasy Tactics and bring back memories from that game and its politically charged plot line.

The only issue I'm having is these random ass bosses that pop out of nowhere. Only seven hours in and there were around two or three bosses that didn't make sense, had no real point or purpose but they were there and were a bit too easy.

From what I've already heard I will get my challenges as the hunts get harder and harder. And I've yet to even touch the summons and man, I can't wait to see the Lucavi Summons and Zeromus.

The monster design is fantastic and brings some of the monsters to this level of just graphic nirvana, right when the bomb is about to explode, that whole look. I was brought to tears(on the inside).

And I've only played it for one day even, Its such a beautiful game. Nearly perfect as an RPG and rivals Final Fantasy IX for what a Final Fantasy title should be.

Sioux, it only gets better. I agree, the game is epic and really hits the idea on what a FF should be. Espers unfortunately don't really get much usage in this game, due to the sheer nature of what your characters become by the time you get a good few of them. Still, they're handy in a pinch.

Quickenings > * as well, gotta love Concurences just to add insult to injury.

Nikki, I've yet to play Mass Effect. It's kind of been unopened and sat in the rack because of my infatuation with Assasin's Creed and GHIII. I reckon I'll give it a go tonight though, if I don't end up trying to finish off the Normal career and crying when trying Dragonforce.
