The only thing stopping me from doing the same is a major lack of time.
I have alot to do for my portfolio and its just suffocating. Its not that I have to do alot of it now persay but, I want to have a whole truck load of stuff ready for when I do get to the portfolio class. I know so many of my upper classmen friends who freak out because they don't even have enough stuff to put in their portfolios when the class finally arrives. I don't want that...at all. So, I'm just doing straight art all the time now.
However, I actually do have time this quarter for stuff as I do alot of my work at school anyways so I have home time to sleep and whatnot.
And now that I have both a solid job to give my wallet a good transfer of cash along with new clients to clean for every week, I have money to spend and not alot of stuff at school I have to buy.
The main problem/issue being I'm literally two to five years behind everyone here in video games(both here on the site and the friends I have here in Colorado). I just bought Metroid Prime 1 last Saturday and just finished it tonight. So I'm slowly little by little catching up but, I don't think I'll have time for every version of Final Fantasy...at least not yet.
I still don't know whether to get the DS or the PSP first either. The New Tactics or revamped versions of the older games on the DS? I'm so torn.
Edit:
Yeah, I totally need CS3 for Photoshop.
This slow going old style way of cutting is grinding me down and making this Metroid Prime sig look terrible.
