And so is XIII, XII, XI, and X. And possibly VIII. VII was my first, so I will not hear a bad word about it. IX was fun. The rest I don't remember.

In retrospect those games were probably better off leaving behind as a childhood memory.

Well even when Squeenix offered me 60 free days to keep playing, I cancelled my account. It was shockingly crap after all the "Oh, it's going to be waaay better and easier to play than 11" talk

I dunno, just thought I'd give it a chance. I thought most of the complaints were about the UI and how other MMO UIs are better, but I have no benchmark to guage the crapness.

Also, I'm on a terrible connection, and I rarely get lag. And if I encounter server problems its usually due to my shitty wireless pci adapter (which began to make my computer freeze up last night while watching youtube vids).

I'll trial it for thirty days methinks, see if I enjoy myself or not. If I don't, I won't be paying for any subscriptions and I'll let it grow for a while before I try tackling it again.

There is one thing that irks me though. The fees are in Euros...wtf. If they can't be assed putting the subscriptions in AUD when they sell the game in Australia, they should at least give us the option of being able to choose between USD and EURO because USD would be cheaper, especially when its dollar for dollar right now.
