Hello, stranger! Congrats on the casino job, seems like a nice little earner.
Pretty epic night last night for one of my work friend's birthday. I managed to get off with a fella, and one of my cheeky friends put a video up. Oh, the shame...
I had work four hours afterwards, so I had to rush off, and didn't get the guy's number. Epic fail...

I would say "video link or it didn't happen" but I'm not that nasty haha.
Although I did make our 50 year old service coordinator cry the other day....

Sean, casino job? You native stereotype, you. Congratulations.
Aeth, T, videos are unfortunately mandatory at this point. Cough 'em up.

Oh if I was proud enough to film it Mig. But alas no. It was truly pitiful seeing a grown man cry because I told him to do his job...

Days late, I remembered the best video game movie.
The perfect video game movie.
Professor. fucking. Layton.
The Eternal Diva is amazing and I'll hear no word against it.
Also by all accounts the Ace Attorney film is really great, so there you go. Anime DS games make the best films and I'll fight you if you disagree!

Sure, I'll fight you. I didn't like it. To be fair I can seen the appeal but I am not a fan.
Furthermore, Layton is just too English for my tastes. Like an annoying version of Sherlock Holmes and I prefer Watson all day to that little ankle biter he has for a side kick.
I didn't even finish the movie I was so put off. It was way too slow in it's pacing to begin with and I am not a fan of that particular style of japanese animation. I like the Bones studio level where shit is detailed and the animation is more or less flawless and their series' are packed with decent plot lines and fantastic fighting animations. Actually, if the Layton Diva picture had a fight scene I probably would have stuck around.
Anyways, like I said the Diva Layton Thing wasn't terrible though and probably is in contention for best movie based on a video game but I didn't take to it.
I kind of feel similar for the Phoenix Wright series on the whole. I like the idea but am not a fan of the execution. I do like those funny gifs people make from it though.
And thanks for the congrats folks. It is a stereotype but its not the worst place to work especially in this economy. I am going to man this security post for probably all of 2013 and then join the military or something.

You're most welcome, Sioux. Joining the military, huh? All the best people do. Chad, one of my good friends from my work, joined up; he just finished his basic training and his passing-out parade was last month. He's training to be a chef; from the pictures on Facebook it looks like he's having fun.
Can't believe the time. Trying, like a woman obsessed, to get the last few achievements in the first Assassin's Creed done (damn those flags! ). Started about 1am intending to play a couple hours at most then go to bed, it is now twenty to five and almost light. Oops. At least I don't have work in the morning.

I looked into joining the military a while ago, in a non-deployment role, like an IT Technician at the command headquarters. Those kind of jobs exist, apparently... and they are really good jobs =P

Yes, and you get better training than you do in the civilian trades. I have a lot of friends who have at least been in the military (there are a lot of Royal Air Force bases around where I live), and they have come out and got civvy jobs relatively quickly.

Two nights ago, I noticed the filter in my fish tank was making a lot more noise than usual. That's been a problem with it for a while, don't know why. The noise was so loud, that it was even louder than the TV. I couldn't put up with it, so I turned it off (unplugged it). The next day, I noticed that wasn't a good idea as it ended up killing one of the four fish (more fish had jumped out of the tank since my last post about it)... My grandma decided to take the other three fish.
I feel bad for doing that.. The filter was bad though and the tank itself wasn't any better. I'm not sure that I want to get any more fish, I know I don't want to have a big tank anymore.

Oh, dear... It's my uncle and cousin who keep fish in my family, so I'm not personally able to advise. I know some people must say 'It's only fish...' but it must be really upsetting and frustrating when that happens, though.
Internet and phone started working magically, the night before an engineer was supposed to come round... Hmm... Phone line is still noisy, but it is acceptable, now. I might buy a signal booster faceplate to see if that helps. It keeps dropping out when I pick the phone up, though... BT will bullshit me with saying it is a broadband fault but I happen to know it is a fault with the exchange.

That is what my Dad thought when he joined the Communication Squadron in the Air Force when he was younger and they still sent him on two different deployments during his 20 years of service. Be aware the Military can do whatever they want with you no matter who you are and what you know and in total contradiction of whatever they say originally to you as you sign up. Sometimes they'll even misappropriate you for no reason other than to beef up the personnel quotas of other military bases.
My friend's friend in Hawaii is an interpreter for the Army. He has two degrees in Language Studies and whatnot and knows five different languages two of which being Russian and Arabic. Basically, he is a pretty good asset and do you know what the army did with him? He is the stockmaster in Honolulu for the Military there for the night/grave shift. Ridiculous.

Completely ridiculous; what a waste of his talents. Employees, even the military, can be so stupid...
@Porslinsanken: Now there's a name I've not seen for a while! How the devil are you?

Man, no heating or hot water until next week as the gas has run out. Can't even boil water on the stove as its gas too. At least the tiny oil heater I've got takes enough chill off the room I don't wake up with a massive headache.
