The problem: Idiotic, waste-of-sperm newbies.
The solution: Shotgun enema's and vein tappings for the more severe cases of retardation.
In a perfect world, this would be inplemented. However, we are far from perfect. Until our time of perfection and all that good shit, we have very little to do for the resistance of retards other than to ignore and hope that they'll go away.

I find this very ironic...especially on the subject of retards
Dude there is no such thing as a perfect world. So why don't we just vere from these comatose induced hallucinations, and talk about the real world, okay buddy.

DoubleM: Kupo has been here for one hell of a long time - I wouldn't question him unless you want him to turn 'fucking hostile' on you =P
And yes that's something that annoys me too: The fact that there are some newbies that question everything that you do. Rules are there to be followed - not broken as some people seem to think

I didn't say nothin' wrong
And if anybody tries to go hostile on me, then I'll show them the R rated version of my sig. It sort of has the same effect as what the video out of the ring does. And then they'll get a phone call.... "oh no not a phone call!"

This place may have changed, but the new wave of nOObs are coming up. We dont all use text language, but only the remote few do. I try not to, but if I'm in a hurry, then I do. Rarely. But if you look at people like Summer Rain, Alexander and so thorth, there are some that will make a difference to this place. I hope to, in a good way though.

Hmmm. Looking at this place now, it never ceases to amaze me how much it's grown. So many people, more so than I ever saw a couple of years ago. Back then, the majority of the members here never existed. Then the new wave of people came in around Summer '02, and it went on from there. More and more people arriving. Some good. Some not so good. Yes, it's a great place now, is the UFF Site, but the essence of some of those oldbies is sorely missing. And is something that can't be replaced.

Mini Mog, Master Moogle, It is extremely hard to move on from this place While this site has alot of idiotic people- newbies and ones that have been here a little bit, uff9 is still a great site and forum. We can't expect everyone that joins this forum to be an expert at typing, but that's not what we really ask of them... In the end the amount of good members here far atweigh the minority of crappy idiotic members.. I feel lost among all these newbies and i've been around for god knows how long, but it's still good to see all the newbies coming, and it's good to see how much this site is growing... and speaking of social structures inside of this forum.. all the moderators on this site, and the admins, along with a handful of members, deserve to be seen on a higher level then others.. not to make that sound cocky but alot of members have put in a shitload of work at this site and should be seen as higher on the social structure.. even if your new you can see which the members and mods/admins are that deserve the utmost respect ... ie Wednesday_13, Kat, Jon, Dagz and everyone else, they now who they are, etc... but that doesn't mean you shouldn't respect everyone else just as much, so newbies, check your spelling, if there's a few mistakes, fix them, and if a staffer says something.. don't get hostile on them and think they have it in for you, their just trying to guide you in the right direction.. this forum is pretty damn great, but with a little work with all the newish members who aren't quite up to speed with how this place runs, it could be a magnificent place.
Dunno if that had any impact at all.. but i've said what i've wanted to.

Well, its a long thread already, and I agree with lots of what is being said. I think that there has only been this 'wave' of n00bies over the last couple of months, and that they were friends and all joined these forums together (either that or they got to know each other on these forums). I dont think its a big wave of peoples, but more of just one group.
And I agree with Minimog and Sum Mors. I'm definitely not an 'important person' in these forums, and I dont know anyone well at all, and so am not getting any thoughts on this matter from anyone else in the forums, apart from the posts and the user comments. I am seeing many people coming here and making lots of posts, admittedly most of them crap, and seeing the mods get very annoyed at them. Ive noticed it over the last few weeks and just think that we should 'cool down' a bit and give them a couple of chances, and maybe try to teach them to behave how we want them too, I mean in a respectable manner.

Even though I am not that old of a member to "remember" when the posts were intelligent and interesting, I still remember when they weren't a burden to read or translate. Also, certain members talk way, way too much. Sure, posting is great because that's what you do on a message board. But some people have to remember it's quality over quantity.

I'll say this; the board is constantly changing, and it will continue to do so. Like Minimog said to shned, if people don't like change, they should move on. THe boards are gonna keep changing, and nothing's gonna stop that. If you don't like it, there's no choice but to move on.
As for you, Sum Mors, you do wind people up, seemingly deliberately, and you DO seem to be dead set on telling people how to do their jobs, and it has come up between the staff before. I think Jon's trying to make a point. Maybe you should listen, heh.
One thing I'll say for the site is that, especially after the relaunch, it has become more mainstream. We get people who have searched for things like "final fantasy walkthrough" come to the site, your average gamer, with no message board experience, coming to the site, and finding our walkthrough. Afterwards, they come across the board and start posting. There's nothing we can do about that. However, there are things we can do to help the new board members mature into helpful, interesting members of the community.
But this topic has indeed inspired some talk between myself and Mike. Expect some changes to fix the problems we're getting. You see, Tuvai, or Leroy as you may or may not remember him was probably the best admin we've ever had on this site, and he's right in what he says. And, yeah, we're gonna fix it. Keep watching for some unnoticable and not so unnoticable changes.

I've been at UFF for about a year and a half now, and I remember the days when the admins and mods did their job and people were okay with what they did.
Yeah, those times have changed. A handful of mods and admins seem to have just dissappeared, as I discussed with Alex and Mike. Does that make this a worse place? No. The current mods and admins doing their job are plenty, and some people don't realize the stress some of them are in.
Yeah, certain people tell the mods and admins how to do their jobs. Sure, some n00bs are getting on my nerves. I'm honestly trying the best I can to be nice to them. If they ask me a question, I'll repsond. If they start a quality topic, I'll reply.
Like MM said: It's time for change, and if you don't like it, too bad.
