Has anyone ever got to Lv.99 on ff8?

I have got to Level 99 with Squall, its pretty easy to get your characters to Level 99, just need to level up for a little while, then your done.

It goes to level 100 on Final Fantasy VIII ;p. But Yeah I have leveled Rinoa,Squall, and Zell all the way up before. Its really easy to level characters up on Final Fantasy VIII.

I levelled up all my characters up to lvl 100. Its not that hard in this game, if you go to the Island Closest to Hell, you level up just about every battle. (of course the battles are initially hard, but get easier)

yup me too. (possibley spoiler) the only bad thing is that all the mosters level up with you. LOL!!!!!!!!!! so it's better ti have lower levels. I guess.

I Reaced LVL 100 with all my PC minus *spoiler*...

... Lorie, Ward, Kiros, Edea, and Siefer.

I also reaced LVL 100 with all my GFs. even Eden.

It was easy to get to lvl 99 in Final Fantasy VIII, or better said lvl 100. Seeing the ammount of exp needed to get lvl up was the same for each level. So in fact it wouldn't be that hard to get to lvl 100 before entering the SeeD exam or better said the fire cavern. A good thing is that the monsters got stronger each time you leveled so the monsters always kept a challenge for you. I managed to get to lvl 100 with some characters, I didn't really bother to get each of them there but it was easy.

I got Rinoa, Squall and Irvine up to Level 100, the rest languished at about level eighty-something. Right now I'm on Disc 1, and Squally is on Level 62, Rinoa is Level 43 and Siren GF is on Level 100!

No. Really.

On the Island Closest To Heaven/Hell all the monsters are level 100 regardless of your party's levels.

On a side note, once you have the Lionheart + Encounter-None, it's really easy to get anyone up to level 100 and with the best spells in the game. My 6 all have 100 Ultima, Aura, Triple, "aga" spells, Meteor, Dispel, Esuna, Holy, Flare, Death, Pain, so on and so forth.

Also remember that in FFVIII, exp isn't given out evenly like some of the other FFs (such as 9 and the AP in 10). So once you have a member at Level 100, keep them in your party. Then if they kill the monster, their exp bonus for killing it gets divided between the other two.

There was a thread a little while ago about a guy who got a Lionheart (the gunblade) on Disk 1..... that was to do with levelling up and getting the monsters to drop the required stuff. Thats an achievement and a half.

With luck on my last game I was able to get the lionheart at the end of Disc 1, spent a lot of time playing triple triad though.
