Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, has commented on the ever-growing debate regarding the Final Fantasy XIII exclusivity. Many fans argue if the thirteenth installment in the series will be exclusive for the PS3 or if it will be released for the Xbox 360 as well. In its latest issue, Famitsu said that:
“Final Fantasy XIII - Square Enix's flagship series is a PS3 exclusive, and there's nothing to suggest that would ever change, but fans point to the still relatively small market share of Sony's high-end machine and say that the title could be a much bigger hit if it sold on the Xbox 360. Still, Sony and its loyal fans say that the market share of the PS3 will grow significantly once the title hits the racks.”
Square-Enix still hasn't said if Final Fantasy XIII will be sold only for the PS3 or for the Xbox 360 too, but the more, the merrier, right? More news as we get it.

Multi-platform - Those of us with X Box 360's interested in the new Final Fantasy games coming out, or interested in playing a Final Fantasy game or starters, are not going to jump up and buy a PS3 just to play the game. Those who WILL leap to get a PS3... are probably already PS3 owners. I'm sure that a lot of people, like myself, who DO love Final Fantasy, have opted to get a 360 because it is not only cheaper, but has a larger selection of games right now. If FF is released on the 360, more people who A) already love FF but don't have a ps3, or B) people who are interested in the franchise, can gain access to the game, which promotes sales. The more sales, the more profit, the more incentive for more games, and then even MORE profit. If you can appeal to a wider range of gamers, you can get more feedback on what different people like, meaning you can create more games that appeal to all kinds of different people at once. More and more developers are either converting entirely to the 360, or going multi-platform, and it would be a shame to see the FF franchise to only stay on one system. For the people who want exclusivity on the ps3, I believe it is foolish - are they trying to add more value to owning a ps3, trying to prove that the ps3 is 'better'?? either way, one system isn't better than another. regardless of what they run on, the games are what make up the console - so in reality, it's about personal choice for who likes what and what system that game is on. I don't think FF should be released on the Wii, because I think the controls would be overly hard and the game might suffer frame-rate wise as well as the user-interface. It would be bad-ass to play the characters in the FF7 in battle though, like punching with the remote for Tifa, or slashing it like a sword. So if Square can figure out how to provide equal opportunity on the Wii without having to alter out features, it'd be great. And I think it would be even cooler if they made a sword-remote! Hah. So, someone give me one GOOD reason why it should remain exclusive to the PS3, meaning UNBIASED. I love Sony, I grew up on the Nintendo Power Magazine, and I think the 360 is going to have a great future. So,
thrill me.

Better on Wii
I think Final Fantasy XIII is better on Wii because Final Fantasy XIII involves alot of movement which is what Wii does. I suggest Square-Enix start business again with Nintendo so that it will be fair. Wii is cheap and as advanced as X-box 360. PS3 is too expensive and too much for people. Better on Wii so its easier. I hope this wil happen because I am a sincerely Nintendo Fan.

FF has been Playstation only since FF7 and up. Only the older games and remakes of older games have been on other systems as well. I don't think it'll change now. And anyone that thinks it would be cool on the Wii has either never played a Wii or never played a FF game.

I hope it is a PS3 exclusive. I dont mind if VS goes to the 360, but the main XIII has to be PS3 only

Which Platform?
I think that it will be good on more than just the PS3 and the Xbox 360. If it's not though then I'm still not complaining about it.

Hopefully they will extend it to other platforms other than the PS3 and Xbox 360.
