FF13 sells 1 million a day, plays catch up to predecessors
December 18, 2009
Square Enix has announced that 1 million copies of Final Fantasy XIII have been sold on day one in Japan.
That is over half of the initial 1.8 million shipment, and doesn't include any of the PS3 bundles that were released alongside the game.
By comparison, Final Fantasy XII sold 1.76 million copies in it's first week on sale, while Final Fantasy X had over 1.4 million preorders
before
release.
Beating the week one sales of Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy X is starting to look unlikely but we'll keep you posted on the latest developments.
If you want to add to FF13's success, you can import it over at
Play Asia.
