The Crystal Bearers to be 'Open World', have Waggle
April 5, 2009
Square Enix has revealed that the latest game in the Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles series is to have 'open world gameplay' and 'movement-based controls'.
The Crystal Bearers for Nintendo Wii recently opened
its website,
and through the website revisiting users have been able to unlock videos of NPC characters reacting to each other and the main character channel-surfing by using his magic to change the tv station amongst other things.
Square Enix's latest European newsletter talks about the website opening, also saying the game has "intuitive, movement based controls" and "Open-world gameplay."
What this means for the FF:CC series is interesting. Open world RPGs are becoming extremely popular, especially in the West. Open World RPG Fable II was our sister site RPGSite's
top scoring game of 2008.
We'll bring you more on The Crystal Bearers as we get it.
