Final Fantasy Agito XIII Director gives a Progress Report
December 8, 2010
Final Fantasy Agito XIII has been taking a back-seat in Square Enix's PSP release line-up thanks to games like Lord of Arcana, Dissidia Duodecim Final Fantasy and The 3rd Birthday, but that isn't going to stop the title from still getting some mild promotion in the Japanese press.
Japanese gaming bible Famitsu features an interview with Hajime Tabata, the director of The 3rd Birthday and Final Fantasy Agito XIII. While he's primarily there to talk about The 3rd Birthday, Tabata also talks a little about Agito's development.
When asked about the development process, Tabata told the magazine that
"Development is progressing well,"
and the game is
"becoming an intense experience where you do gun shooting with fire."
Little has been said about the multiplayer for the game, which has been confirmed almost since it was announced. When asked about multiplayer, Tabata remained coy, telling Famitsu that Agito won't have the
"standard multiplayer style of everyone gathering together to play."
Instead, he multiplayer system will be "unique" to Agito.
More information on Agito will come out early in the new year at Square Enix's special Fabula Nova Crystallis Press Conference. We'll bring you all the latest news from the conference, and any and all news after that, so stick with us!
